Apollo offers flexible seamless waveguide assemblies from WR-22 to WR-650. Flexible seamless waveguide is non-twistable, and manufactured from a continuous length of thin walled copper/brass tubing. Its construction allows it to handle higher power levels than flexible twistable waveguide, and offers lower insertion and return loss. Both standard and customized flanges are available. The waveguide assemblies are chemically treated to protect against corrosion, and are RoHS compliant. Depending on the application, the external finish can be standard black paint, rubberized paint for extreme weather conditions, or neoprene jacketing for longer lengths that require more support strength. Each assembly is pressure tested and then placed on a network analyzer to examine its electrical performance and tuned for wide or specific frequency bands to optimize return loss. For applications that require very low insertion loss, the interior of the flex can be silver plated.
